Product Description
M3.5 Pan Torx Thread Forming Screws – Zinc Plated DIN 7500
M3.5 pan head Torx thread forming screws manufactured from case hardened steel with a zinc plated and waxed finish. Designed for installation into a correctly sized pilot hole, they form a mating thread without a separate tapping operation.
The trilobular thread forming design displaces the receiving material during installation. A raised pan head provides the bearing surface, while the Torx drive offers positive engagement with a matching driver bit.

Key Features
- Forms a mating thread in a suitably prepared pilot hole.
- Eliminates the need for a separate tapping operation.
- Case hardened steel construction.
- Zinc plating provides corrosion protection.
- Waxed finish helps reduce installation friction.
- Pan head with Torx drive for positive driver engagement.
Typical Applications
Suitable for compatible metal assemblies, including brackets, enclosures, housings and equipment components where a thread can be formed directly in the receiving material. Suitability depends on material hardness, thickness and pilot hole preparation.
Installation
Use a pilot hole specified for the receiving material and its thickness. Thread forming screws require application-specific hole sizing; do not automatically use the tapping drill size for a conventional M3.5 machine thread.
Install squarely using a correctly fitting Torx bit and controlled torque. Allow sufficient hole depth for the forming lead when installing into blind holes. A prepared hole is required because these screws do not drill their own hole.
Ordering
Select your required screw length and pack quantity from the available options before adding to your basket.
