Grip range is the total thickness of the materials being joined. Measure the complete material stack and select a rivet whose grip range includes that thickness. Body length and grip range are different measurements.
Key Features
- Steel body and steel mandrel construction.
- Zinc plated finish for corrosion protection.
- Dome head provides a raised bearing surface.
- Blind installation where rear tool access is unavailable.
- Six lengths covering listed grip ranges from 3mm to 24mm.
Typical Applications
Suitable for sheet metal assemblies, brackets, panels, enclosures, fabrication and equipment repairs where a standard steel blind rivet is specified.
Installation
Prepare aligned 6.5mm holes and remove burrs. Insert the rivet fully through the joint with the head seated against the surface. Set using a rivet tool rated for 6.4mm steel/steel rivets and fitted with the correct nosepiece.
Hold the tool square to the joint and complete the setting cycle until the mandrel breaks. Check that the rivet has formed correctly and clamps the materials securely.
Ordering
