Product Description
UNF self colour steel castle nuts manufactured from Grade 5 high tensile steel. These imperial slotted nuts have a Unified National Fine thread and are designed for use with compatible UNF bolts, studs and drilled fasteners where a split pin or locking pin is used to help prevent loosening.
The castellated / slotted top allows a split pin to pass through the nut and mating fastener, providing a mechanical locking method commonly used in automotive, machinery, suspension, steering, agricultural, classic vehicle and general engineering applications.
Available in UNF thread sizes 3/8", 7/16", 1/2" and 5/8", with TPI options including 24, 20 and 18 depending on the selected size. For imperial nuts, ASME B18.2.2 is the suitable dimensional standard, with ASME B1.1 covering the UNF thread form.
