Product Description
Metric 8.8 Non-Serrated Part-Threaded Flange Bolts – Yellow Zinc Plated DIN 6921
Grade 8.8 high tensile steel hexagon flange bolts with a yellow zinc plated finish. Each bolt has a smooth, non-serrated flange beneath the head and a partially threaded body with an unthreaded shank.
The integral flange spreads the clamping load over a wider bearing area. Available in M6, M8, M10 and M12 metric coarse threads for machinery, fabrication and general engineering assemblies.

Thread Sizes and Head Dimensions
| Thread Size | Pitch (mm) | Spanner Size (mm) | Maximum Flange Diameter (mm) | Maximum Head Height (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M6 | 1.00 | 10 | 14.2 | 6.6 |
| M8 | 1.25 | 13 | 18.0 | 8.1 |
| M10 | 1.50 | 15 | 22.3 | 9.2 |
| M12 | 1.75 | 16 | 26.6 | 11.5 |
All dimensions are in millimetres. Spanner size is measured across the hexagon flats. Bolt length is measured from beneath the flange to the tip. Thread and shank lengths depend on the selected bolt size and length.
Key Features
- Grade 8.8 high tensile steel construction.
- Part-threaded body with an unthreaded shank.
- Integral flange provides a broad bearing surface.
- Smooth flange underside without serrated teeth.
- Yellow zinc plated finish provides corrosion protection.
- External hexagon head for tightening with a spanner or socket.
Typical Applications
- Machinery and equipment assembly.
- Brackets, frames and fabricated components.
- Workshop maintenance and repairs.
- Bolted joints requiring an unthreaded shank through the assembled components.
Installation
Match the thread diameter and pitch to the mating nut or tapped hole. Select a bolt length that suits the combined material thickness and provides sufficient thread engagement. Check that the unthreaded shank does not prevent the joint from clamping fully.
Tighten with the correct size spanner or socket to the torque specified for the assembly. Where resistance to loosening is required, use the locking method specified for the joint.
Ordering
Select the required thread size and bolt length, then choose your pack quantity before adding to your basket. All sizes in this listing are part threaded.
Standards
- DIN 6921 – hexagon flange head dimensions.
