M8 A2 Stainless Steel Hexagon Head Bolts With Shank – DIN 931
These M8 hexagon head bolts are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and feature a partially threaded plain shank to the DIN 931 dimensional pattern. They have a standard M8 x 1.25mm metric coarse thread and are available in lengths from 30mm to 250mm.

Thread and shank lengths
Overall bolt length is measured from beneath the hexagon head to the end of the bolt. DIN 931 thread length varies according to the overall length of the bolt:
- Up to and including 125mm: Approximately 22mm thread
- Over 125mm up to and including 200mm: Approximately 28mm thread
- Over 200mm: Approximately 41mm thread
The approximate plain shank length is calculated by subtracting the thread length from the overall bolt length.

A2 stainless steel
A2 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance in many indoor and general outdoor environments without requiring an additional protective coating. For coastal, marine, swimming-pool and other chloride-rich environments, A4 stainless steel is normally the more suitable choice.
Stainless-steel threads can be susceptible to galling during installation. Use clean mating threads, a suitable anti-seize compound and controlled installation speeds, particularly when assembling stainless bolts and nuts together.
