No.8 Zinc Plated Pan Pozi Head Self Tapping Screws
No.8 pan head self tapping screws manufactured from steel with a zinc plated finish. These Type AB self tappers have a Pozi-style cross recess and a broad pan head that provides a neat, practical bearing surface.
Suitable for fastening sheet metal, thin steel, plastics and other appropriate materials where the screw is required to form or cut its mating thread during installation. A correctly sized pilot hole may be required depending on the material, its thickness and the application.

Installation Guidance
Use a correctly fitting Pozi driver bit and keep the tool aligned with the screw. Select a pilot-hole diameter appropriate to the substrate, material thickness and required thread engagement. Avoid excessive installation torque, which may strip the formed thread or damage the drive recess.
Zinc plating provides useful corrosion protection for dry indoor and mildly exposed applications. For damp, marine, chemical or heavily corrosive environments, consider a suitable stainless steel or specialist coated fastener.
