No.12 Zinc Plated Pan Pozi Head Self Tapping Screws
No.12 pan head self tapping screws manufactured from steel with a zinc plated finish. These Type AB self tappers feature a Pozi-style cross recess and a broad pan head that provides a practical bearing surface and a neat finished appearance.
Designed to form or cut a mating thread as they are installed, these screws are suitable for sheet metal, thin steel, plastics and other compatible materials. A correctly sized pilot hole may be required depending on the substrate, material thickness and application.

Installation Guidance
Use a correctly fitting Pozi driver bit and keep the tool square to the screw head during installation. Select a pilot-hole diameter appropriate to the substrate, material thickness and required thread engagement. Avoid excessive installation torque, which may strip the formed thread or damage the drive recess.
Zinc plating provides useful corrosion protection for dry indoor and mildly exposed applications. For damp, marine, chemical or heavily corrosive environments, consider a suitable stainless steel or specialist coated fastener.
