No.8 Zinc Plated Steel Pozi Flange Head Self Tapping Screws
No.8 Pozi flange head self tapping screws manufactured from steel with a zinc plated finish. These Type AB screws combine a recessed drive with an integral flange that spreads the clamping load over a wider area than a conventional pan head.
The integral flange can reduce the need for a separate washer and helps support thin sheet material around the fixing point. These screws are suitable for sheet metal, thin steel, plastics and other compatible materials when installed with an appropriate pilot hole.

Installation Guidance
Use a correctly fitting Pozi driver bit and keep the tool square to the screw head during installation. Select a pilot-hole diameter appropriate to the substrate, material thickness and required thread engagement. Avoid excessive torque, which may strip the formed thread or damage the drive recess.
The integral flange spreads the clamping load but should not automatically be treated as a substitute for a separate washer where sealing, electrical insulation or a specified bearing area is required.
Zinc plating provides useful corrosion protection for dry indoor and mildly exposed applications. For damp, marine, chemical or heavily corrosive environments, consider a suitable stainless steel or specialist coated fastener.
