Product Description
4mm Aluminium/Steel Sealed Dome-Head Blind Rivets
These 4mm sealed blind rivets feature an aluminium-alloy rivet body and a steel break-pull mandrel. Their closed-end construction helps restrict the passage of moisture, air and contaminants through the centre of the installed rivet when compared with a conventional open-end blind rivet.
The dome, or protruding, head provides a broad bearing surface while retaining a low-profile appearance. Blind installation allows the rivets to be fitted where access is available from only one side of the workpiece.

Typical Applications
Suitable for sheet-metal work, vehicle body panels, trailers, enclosures, ducting, signs, appliances, fabrication, maintenance and general engineering applications where installation is possible from only one side.
Choosing the Correct Rivet
Measure the total combined thickness of the materials being joined and select a rivet whose stated grip range includes that measurement. The grip range refers to the total material thickness, not the length of the rivet body.
Some of the published grip ranges overlap. Select the shortest rivet whose grip range safely accommodates the complete material stack, unless the application or installation-tool guidance specifies otherwise.
Drill or prepare a clean 4.1mm installation hole. Remove burrs and ensure that the materials are held firmly together before inserting and setting the rivet with a tool suitable for 4mm blind rivets.
Sealing Guidance
Closed-end rivets provide improved sealing compared with conventional open-end blind rivets. However, the finished joint should not automatically be assumed to be completely waterproof, airtight or pressure-tight.
Joint design, hole condition, surface finish and installation quality all affect sealing performance. Use a suitable sealant or sealing washer where a verified watertight or airtight joint is required.
Please note that published dimensions and specifications are intended as a guide. Confirm any safety-critical, structural or sealing requirements before ordering.
