Product Description
No.8 A2 Stainless-Steel Countersunk Slotted Woodscrews
These No.8 countersunk slotted woodscrews are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and are available in imperial lengths from 1/2" to 3". They provide a corrosion-resistant fastening solution for woodworking, joinery, furniture assembly and general timber-fixing applications.
The traditional slotted drive is particularly suitable for restoration work, period-style fittings and applications where the appearance of the screw head is important. Its countersunk head is designed to finish flush with, or slightly below, the surface of the timber.

Installation Guidance
- Use a correctly fitting flat-bladed screwdriver to avoid damaging the slot.
- Select a length suitable for the thickness of the materials being joined.
- Drill a suitable pilot hole when fixing into hardwood or close to a timber edge.
- Use a separate countersink where a completely flush finish is required.
- Avoid excessive tightening, as stainless steel is softer than hardened carbon steel.
- Use clean installation tools to help prevent contamination of the stainless-steel surface.
Corrosion guidance: A2 stainless steel provides good resistance in many indoor and mildly exposed outdoor environments. For marine, coastal, swimming-pool, chemical or other chloride-rich conditions, A4 stainless steel may be more appropriate.
These are general-purpose woodscrews and should not be described as structural fasteners unless suitable load-performance certification is available for the exact product.
