Product Description
Metric Class 10 Zinc Plated High Tensile Steel Nyloc Nuts – DIN 985 Type T
Metric nylon insert locking nuts manufactured from high tensile steel to property class 10, with a zinc plated finish. These DIN 985 Type T nyloc nuts feature standard metric coarse threads and are available in sizes from M6 to M36.
The nylon insert grips the mating thread to create resistance to rotation, helping reduce loosening caused by vibration. The external hexagon allows installation using a matching spanner or socket.

Fitting Information
Match the nut diameter and thread pitch to the bolt, set screw or threaded bar. These nuts have standard metric coarse threads and will not fit metric fine threads of the same nominal diameter.
Start the nut from the metal-threaded end, with the nylon insert facing away from the clamped surface. The mating bolt must pass fully through the nylon insert for the locking feature to engage.
Use the correct spanner or socket and follow the tightening requirements for the assembly, allowing for the additional resistance from the nylon insert. Replace nuts if the insert is damaged or the locking resistance has reduced. Check suitability where elevated temperatures or chemical exposure could affect the nylon.
