Product Description
Metric brass half / lock nuts to DIN 439 style for low-profile fastening, locking and spacing applications. These thin nuts are manufactured from solid brass and are suitable for use with standard metric coarse threaded bolts, screws and studs.
The reduced height half nut design is useful where space is limited, where a thinner nut is required, or where two nuts are used together to help lock an assembly. Brass nuts are commonly used in electrical work, decorative fittings, restoration, model engineering, light-duty machinery, plumbing-related applications and general workshop fastening.
Available in metric coarse sizes M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12, these solid brass half lock nuts use standard metric thread pitches including M5 x 0.8, M6 x 1.0, M8 x 1.25, M10 x 1.5 and M12 x 1.75. For metric thin nuts, the suitable dimensional reference is DIN 439, with ISO 261 and ISO 965 covering the metric thread form and tolerances.
