Product Description
M2 x 0.4 A2 Stainless Steel Hexagon Set Screws
These M2 A2 stainless steel hexagon set screws feature a fully threaded shank and a standard metric coarse thread. Their small diameter makes them suitable for precision assemblies, electrical equipment, instruments and other applications where compact, corrosion-resistant fasteners are required.
The screws are listed to DIN 933 dimensions. The current corresponding international and British standard is ISO 4017 / BS EN ISO 4017, covering fully threaded hexagon head screws in steel and stainless steel.

- Electrical and electronic equipment
- Instrumentation and control equipment
- Small machinery and model engineering
- Fixtures, brackets and enclosures
- General maintenance and repair work
Installation Guidance
Use a correctly sized spanner or socket and avoid overtightening these small-diameter fasteners. Stainless steel threads can gall or seize, particularly when installed quickly or without lubrication. A suitable anti-seize compound may therefore be beneficial where repeated assembly or high tightening loads are expected.
A2 stainless steel is suitable for many general applications but may not be appropriate for prolonged exposure to seawater, salt spray or strongly chlorinated environments. A4 stainless steel should be considered for more demanding marine or chloride-rich conditions.
