Product Description
M7 x 1 A2 Stainless Steel Hexagon Set Screws
These M7 A2 stainless steel hexagon set screws feature a fully threaded shank and a standard 1mm metric coarse thread. M7 is a less commonly encountered metric diameter, making these fasteners particularly useful for maintaining machinery, vehicles and equipment originally designed around an M7 thread.
Manufactured from A2 stainless steel, they provide good resistance to moisture and everyday atmospheric corrosion. The screws are listed to DIN 933 dimensions, with ISO 4017 / BS EN ISO 4017 being the current corresponding standard for fully threaded hexagon head screws.

Installation Guidance
Confirm that the mating nut or tapped hole has an M7 x 1 metric thread before installation. M7 fasteners must not be forced into M6, M8 or similarly sized imperial threads.
Use a correctly fitting spanner or socket. Stainless steel threads can gall or seize when assembled quickly, without lubrication or under high tightening pressure. A suitable anti-seize compound may be beneficial where the fasteners will be repeatedly fitted and removed.
A2 stainless steel is suitable for many general applications but may not be appropriate for prolonged exposure to seawater, salt spray or strongly chlorinated environments. A4 stainless steel should be considered for demanding marine and chloride-rich conditions.
