Product Description
M12 A2 Stainless Steel Fully Threaded Hexagon Set Screws – DIN 933
M12 fully threaded hexagon head set screws manufactured from corrosion-resistant A2 stainless steel. These fasteners have a standard M12 x 1.75 metric coarse thread and are made to the traditional DIN 933 dimensional pattern.
Known commercially in the UK as hexagon set screws, these fasteners are threaded along their usable length beneath the head. They are suitable for general engineering, fabrication, machinery and maintenance applications where corrosion resistance and a conventional external hexagon drive are required.

DIN and ISO Standards
DIN 933 is the traditional German standard for fully threaded metric hexagon head screws.
A2 Stainless Steel
A2 is an austenitic stainless steel grade offering good resistance to corrosion in normal indoor, outdoor and mildly damp environments. It is commonly used for general engineering, automotive, maintenance and construction applications.
Typical Applications
- General engineering and machinery
- Automotive and vehicle maintenance
- Stainless steel fabrication
- Food-processing and workshop equipment
- Outdoor fixtures and assemblies
- Repair and maintenance work
Installation Advice
Check that the mating nut or threaded component has an M12 x 1.75 thread. Apply tightening torque appropriate to the confirmed stainless property class, joint design, lubrication and mating material.
Stainless steel threads can gall or seize, particularly when installed quickly or without lubrication. Use a suitable anti-galling compound, assemble at a controlled speed and avoid excessive tightening.
