Product Description
No.8 zinc plated hexagon head self tapping screws manufactured to DIN 7976. These screws are made from steel with a zinc plated finish, giving general corrosion resistance for indoor, workshop, automotive, repair and light fabrication applications.
The hexagon head allows installation with a spanner, socket or nut driver, giving good drive engagement compared with cross recess or slotted head self tapping screws. The self tapping thread is designed to form its own mating thread in suitable pilot holes in sheet metal, plastics and other compatible materials.
These No.8 hex head self tapping screws are 4.2mm diameter and available in 3/8" and 1/2" lengths. The product table shows metric equivalent lengths of approximately 9.5mm and 13mm, with a 7mm hex head size.
