M6 A2 Stainless-Steel Hexagon Flange Set Screws – DIN 6921
These M6 hexagon flange set screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel with a standard 1mm metric coarse thread pitch. Listed as fully threaded and available in lengths from 10mm to 60mm, they provide a corrosion-resistant fastening solution for machinery, automotive, fabrication and general engineering applications.
The hexagon head incorporates an integral plain flange that distributes the clamping load over a wider bearing area than a conventional hexagon head. This can reduce the need for a separate flat washer where the mating surface and application are suitable.

Installation Guidance
- Use with a compatible M6 x 1mm nut or internally threaded component.
- Install using a correctly fitting 10mm socket or spanner.
- Ensure the flange bears against a clean, reasonably flat surface.
- Use a separate washer where required by the joint design or surface material.
- Use an appropriate locking method in applications exposed to vibration.
- Avoid excessive tightening or repeated tightening and loosening.
- Consider a suitable anti-galling lubricant when assembling stainless-steel threads.
- Determine tightening torque from the joint design, lubrication and required preload.
Important: The plain flange is not a prevailing-torque or locking feature. Where resistance to loosening is required, use a compatible locking nut, thread-locking compound or other approved locking method.
Corrosion guidance: A2 stainless steel provides good resistance in many indoor and mildly exposed outdoor environments. For marine, coastal, swimming-pool, chemical or other chloride-rich conditions, A4 stainless steel may be more appropriate.
